All the Very best to you and the Team.

An outstanding film by any standard.
Congratulations to the entire team.

few observations: refill leni pen, kathi tho podavadam koddigaa realistic gaa..(i mean with force in this case) vunte baagundedi. Rathalu dubbing evaro educated lady maatladinattu gaa vundi…especially ‘PLEASE’ ane word.
Great job indeed. Congrtulations!
one question: did you do story boarding? also, could you share the technical details (type of camera you used? howmany cameras used?) because I really liked the framing and camera angles esply in the beginning scenes.
Please let me know. thanks.
akbar chakravarthy says:
yes …there are few things which could have done better….i did story boarding….i shot with one HD sony camera…thanks
Geethoo says:
Thanks for the reply Akbar ji.
Few more questions:
1. How long did it take whole process – you can split pre-prod, prod, post-prod. i am just curious to know how tedious was ‘story boarding’ process for you?
2. also, SONY HD model name? (in case you have on top of your mind)
3. how many short films did you shoot before (coz this does not look like an amateurish first-timer attempt)
4. Did you learn the craft anywhere? ( I mean did you do any schooling?)
5. Sorry for too many questions…this is the last one. Can you share any making pics/videos you have for this project? it looked like cam was not operated just with hands..did you use any equipment? like tripods, pan/crane/tracking shots?
I greatly appreciate your response. thanks again.

That’s just my opinion, I dint watch many short films. But when ever I watch one, I find these kind of things. Is it because of some limitations in Short film making ?
akbar chakravarthy says:
mr.badri ur right refill was not there…and we shot the film at sakshi…..ofcourse there r some limitations…anyways thanks

The first frame itself will make u glued to system for watching it, because of its different lighting schemes, good command on camera movements. Undoubtedly and uncompromisingly a good short film u will ever relish or even u can quench your thirst to see a good short film (in making). Best wishes for ajay chakravarthy and for sure he may become good director in near future.
I have never posted my comments though I am regular to this site, this short film inspired me to put my inner thoughts and feelings for the first time but that doesn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings ……..especially ajay ( please don’t mind ,because these are the observations from my point of view)
It looks to me for obvious reasons that the director first planned the climax and then sketched the entire plot because of which he maintained the first part only with lighting techniques and more in suspenseful way and later revealed the flash back at the end to give sentimental touch, and I don’t understand how all the three are dead with in such short span of time.
Though ajay is having good command on taking as well as lighting perhaps he must have forgotten that spirits (atma) are replica of original character, so though they are in white dress the muslim character ought to have wore the white cap and cross chain for Christian
The chain in the hand of rape victim looks as if is placed neatly and total importance is given only in focusing the cross symbol ,but where as rape victim undergoes a lot of struggle ………..I mean to say at least the chain should have loosened or beads be floored.
Nowhere in the earth all the corpse will buried at same grave yard irrespective of their religions and for suppose even if u think so, the empty block or last frame reveals that it is Christian cemetery.
May be my comments will hurt some people or some don’t even like at all but I think unlike commercial cinemas where some X is producing or investing, short film are made with passion and I can imagine how much hard ships ajay must have gone through in bringing it to light and when the director had chosen a realistic plot he should have spent some more concentration on it to maintain reality to the core.
That doesn’t mean to degrade you ajay and I once again wish u whole heartedly for your endeavor and you can even count me as your fan.
P.S Please excuse me if it hurts any one

Shahi garu, first of all his name is Akbar not Ajay.
My comments on your comments (***PARAGRAPH WISE ***)
meeru chaala feel avuthunnaaru. NAVATARANGAM is the platform to criticize people’s work. positive criticism is always welcome unless it goes personal (I guess)
Communicating things in short span itself is the motive of ‘short movies’ right? also, you don’t need to develop characters to show them bad guys and reason behind their regrets or whatever..
What you talking about? you mean, they should wear their cap/christ locket in their ‘ghost’ attires? if this is your point…I have no idea. Akbar ji has to tell us.
umm…detaling. i think you are right.
yup, I agree with your point BUT ఇలా చెప్పుకు౦టూ పొతె too many ఉ౦టాయి. even you can observe in telugu feature films. anyways, my point is: Story telling has few ‘convenient points’ with which it progresses. It is difficult to expect a project 100% ideal/complete, especially short movies where one person has to handle more than one department.
just my 2 cents.
shashi mohan.pingali says:
First let me correct my mistake (oh..not mistake but blunder)in interpreting akbar as ajay and I am extremely sorry for that, sorry akbar……….
Navatarangam is platform to showcase our talent but not platform to criticize, however positive it may be and keeping this in mind I am little bit hesitant and not only that as short film maker I can gauge the amount of hard work the director must have put in.
thanks geethoo for your valuable reply and suggestions, and of course I accept Communicating things in short span itself is the motive of ‘short movies’ ,…… but it can be one of the motives, not the sole motive and also I haven’t questioned the reasons behind their regrets, but reality behind them.
I too accept that there are plenty of mistakes in popular telugu cinemas even after plenty cushion and extra support they are enjoying while compared to short film makers, Here u don’t have crew but u will find many to screw you in the process
Once again let me say the main reason in posting my comment is I loved the way akbar carried the project but he should have spent some more concentration on script and screenplay (he is master in taking, camera movements and lighting up).
Title destination is also may be not apt because destination means the place designated as the end or the ultimate goal for which something is done, where as the concept of film substantiate or portray the repent ness of their work or deeds
Any way things are easily said than done, hope I found two new friends akbar and geethoo
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU BOTH.
geethoo says:
Shashi garu, Of course this is the place to showcase our work and at the same time positive criticism helps to see not to repeat the mistakes which is v.important at this stage…ani nenu nammuthaanu.
ya, I agree with you. I think I was flattered by his camera angles/taking not the story/screenplay part. I am still learning how difficult is to balance between writing and direction if somebody is a writer-director…ummm
We don’t need whole CREW to SCREW the project
Yup, completely agree on that..I liked camera angles/story brding/lightting etc. Let me tell you something here..my friend (Archana http://vimeo.com/user3410117) is pursuing her film making course from NYFA and she says they just learn the technique not giving much importance to the story. When I see any video, I am observing the ‘taking/technical’ part I guess..
yup, I loved his work too. that’s why I am spending much time on Navatarangam now a days. I liked ‘the beautiful hell – by Jonathan’ too.
