డిజిటల్ సినిమాలు దబ్బు ఆదాలకీ, అవకాశాలకీ మంచి ఐడియా… కానీ నేను విన్నది ఎమిటంటే సాధారణ(traditional camera) సినిమా లో కనిపించే రంగులు, బొమ్మలు దిజిటల్ సినిమాలో రావు…. ఆ ఫీలింగ్ రాదు అని!

anni mafiyalu, kutralena!? put it differently, there may other business reasons. I understand the big productions houses (shall we call families?) are somewhat against to this. They seem to have found a nack of controlling the theaters in fovour of the films prodcued by them with their family memebers.:)

mmm..but i presume 10 lakhs is not an issue for the biggies. And if the biggies choose one vendor, the distribution also gets locked along with them anyway. Thus they can reestablish any monopolistic situation they might want.so where is the issue!?

I think i need a little more clarity on this.Please excuse if i have not made any sense.

ఏ విషయమైనా నాణేనికి రెండు వైపులా చూడాలి కదా…అందుకే డిజిటల్ ప్రొజెక్షన్ limitations, కష్టనష్టాలేంటి అని ఆలోచిస్తే…
1)ముందుగా డిజిటల్ ప్రొజెక్షన్ కి కావలసిన equipment అంతా కొనాలంటే ఒక పది లక్షలకంటే ఎక్కువవుతుంది. ఆ విధంగా థియేటర్ ఓనర్ కి ఖర్చుతో కూడుకున్న పని.
2)పోనీ అంత కష్టపడి equipment కొంటే ఆ స్థానంలో మరో కొద్ది రోజులకు ఇంకో కొత్త టెక్నాలజీతో కూడిన equipment కొనాల్సి రావొచ్చు. ఉదా: ఇప్పుడు మన దగ్గర అన్నీ 2K రిజొల్యూషన్ తో ప్రొజెక్ట్ చేసే equipment ఉంది. కానీ ఆల్రెడీ కొన్ని చోట్ల 4K రిజల్యూషన్ తో equipment వచ్చేసింది. ఇప్పుడు 2K వి కొంటే ఇంకో సంవత్సరంలోగా 4K అనొచ్చు. అందుకే ఈ equipment ఖర్చులు UFO వాళ్ళే పెట్టుకుని నెలకి ఇంత అని ఛార్జ్ చేస్తున్నట్టు విన్నాను.
3)ఇవన్నీ కాకుండా…ఇంకో పెద్ద సమస్యే ఉంది. Suppose ఇప్పుడు మీకు థియేటర్ ఉండి అందులో కంపెనీ A వాళ్ళ equipment వాడుతున్నారనుకోండి. కాకపోతే వాళ్ళు మీకు distribute చేసే సినిమాలన్నీ చెత్త సినిమాలు చేస్తున్నారు. కానీ కంపెనీ B వాళ్ళు మంచి సినిమాలు కొని distribute చేస్తున్నారు. మీరు వాళ్ల సినిమాలు ప్రదర్శిద్దామనుకుంటే కంపెనీ A ఒప్పుకోకపోవచ్చు. ఈ విధంగా ‘vendor lock-in’ సిచుయేషన్ రావొచ్చు. ఒక వేళ కంపెనీ A ఒప్పుకున్నా మీ దగ్గర ఉన్న ఎక్విప్మెంట్ కంపెనీ B సినిమాలను ప్రదర్శించడానికి పనికిరాకపోవచ్చు.

digital cinimas use cheste piracy ni control cheyyochu….it is very possible…But still mana vaallu daanni use cheyatam ledante…..Distribution mafia ne kaaranam ayyundochu…if they encourage digital media….there is no need of ditributor..producer can directly look for the requests from different theaters and can give access code to the theater owners when the payment is done……..(So its is not possible to hype the movie and sell to distributors for huge prices and put losses on them………producer will have to take movie with atmost confidance……)…all these could be pulling them behind to implement this technology……….By the way , it would be nice if you can mention the losses..of this technology

మంచి సమాచారం అందించారు. ఈ విధంగా సినిమా నిర్మాణం చవక అయ్యి, సృజనాత్మకత కలిగి, విభిన్నంగా ఆలోచించగలిగిన వాళ్ళు సొంతంగా చిత్రాలు నిర్మించుకోగలిగే పరిస్థితి వస్తే, ముందు ఈ చెత్త సినిమాల బారినుంచి తప్పించుకోవచ్చు. బైదిబై, విడుదల కాకుండా ఆగిపోయిన సినిమా రిలీజ్ చేసిపెట్టమని అడిగిన పెద్దమనిషి వివరాలు చెప్పగలరా? ఆ సినిమా వివరాలు ఏంటి? ఒకవేళ ఇలాంటి విడుదల కాని సినిమాలు, ఆసక్తి ఉన్న కొద్దిమందికైనా చూసే అవకాశం వచ్చేట్టయితే, విశ్వనాథ్ ‘సిరిమువ్వల సింహనాదం’ వంటి చిత్రాలు చూసే అవకాశం వస్తుందేమో.

ఈ మధ్యనే వీళ్ల ఆఫీసు అడ్రస్ మారిందనుకుంటా…నేను UFO వాళ్ళని ఫిల్మ్ నగర్ దగ్గర్లోని ఒక ఆఫీసు లో కలశాను. అప్పటికి ఇంకా ఆఫీస్ షిప్టింగ్ జరుగుతోంది.
