Firstly well done Purnima. Most of the writers in this world write stories inspired from some other already existing stories. But their talent lies in writing the script in such a way that no one ever recognize it that it taken from some original one.

And i think one who writes the original one with his own creation must be a definitely more talented than anyone and he must be applauded all the time. And i think Jhandhyala is one of kind.

చాలా బాగా రాసారు. ఆయనను గుర్తు చేసుకునే అవకాసం ఇచ్చినందుకు మీకు అభినందనలు. ఆయన తీసిన సినిమాలు దాదాపు అన్నీ చూసాను. బాగా గుర్తు ఉండి పోయేది. ఆహ నా పెళ్ళంట!. (ఆయన తీసిన వాటి లో అంత కన్నా గొప్పవి లేవని కాదు.) ఆ రోజు థియేటరులొ పొట్ట నొప్పి పుట్టెంత నవ్వడం ములాన్న. హాస్యాన్ని ఎంతో సులభం గా తీసి మనల్ని ఎంతే సులభం, ఆరోగ్యంగా నవ్వించ గలిగారు ఆయన. సునిశిత హాస్యం ఆయన trade mark.

జంధ్యాల గురించి ఒక సామాన్య ప్రేక్షకుడి భావాలని ఆవిష్కరించిన చక్కని వ్యాసమిది. పూర్ణిమ గారికి అభినందనలు.
కామెడీ genre లో రచనలు గానీ, సినిమాలు గానీ చేయడం చాలా tough అని నా ఉద్దేశ్యం. స్వతహాగా కామెడీని ఆస్వాదించే, ఊహించే గుణం క్రియేటర్స్ కి ఉండాలి. అలా ఉన్నా కూడా అందరూ మంచి హాస్యాన్ని పండించలేరు. క్రైము, థ్రిల్లర్, ఫాంటసీ, రొమాన్స్ genres లో బాధ్యతని డైరక్టర్, రచయిత, నటీనటులు, సినిమాటోగ్రాఫర్, నేపధ్య సంగీత దర్శకులు, ఎడిటర్.. ఇలా వీరంతా పంచుకుంటే, కామెడీ తరహా సినిమాల్లో మాత్రం ఎక్కువ బరువంతా ముగ్గురి మీదే పడుతుంది- దర్శకుడు, రచయిత, నటీనటులు. అందుకే ఒక దర్శకుని p.o.v లోంచి చూస్తే కామెడీ సినిమా చెయ్యడం, పండించడం చాలా పెద్ద చాలెంజ్. అలాంటిది ఈ శైలిలో తనకంటూ ఒక కొత్త ఒరవడిని సృష్టించిన గొప్ప దర్శకుడు జంధ్యాల. మంచి సినిమాలు కొంతమంది చెయ్యగలరేమో కానీ ఒక ట్రెండు సృష్టించడం మాత్రం జంధ్యాల వంటి అతి కొద్దిమందికే చెల్లుతుంది. జీవితాన్ని బాగా చదివేసినవారికి అది ఒక జోకులా అనిపిస్తుందనుకుంటా. చుట్టుపక్కలున్న రకరకాల మనస్తత్వాలని చదివేసి, వాటిని తెరపై మరింత ఇంపుగా సృష్టించిన జంధ్యాలకి కూడా బహుశా ఇలానే అనిపించిఉండవచ్చు. అందుకే అతను మిగిలిన genres లో కూడా సినిమాలని భావుకంగా తియ్యగలిగాడు, మాటలు రాయగలిగాడు. వ్యక్తిగతంగా జంధ్యాల సినిమాల్లో కామెడీ కన్నా అతను సృష్టించిన కారెక్టర్లు, కారెక్టరైజేషన్, బాడీలాంగ్వేజ్ నాకు బాగా నచ్చుతాయి. సందర్భాల్లో నాటకీయత, డైలాగులు (తిట్లు) కొంచం శృతి తప్పడం(మించడం).. ఇలా కొన్ని లోపాలు వ్యక్తిగతంగా నాకు కనపడినా ఆ సినిమాలు తీసిన నాటి సామాజిక స్థితులు, సినిమా పట్ల అప్పట్లో ప్రజల టేస్టుని బట్టి అలా వచ్చాయనుకుంటా.
ఇక ఈ వ్యాసం విషయానికొస్తే,
దేవుడు scriptwriter ని hire చేసుకున్నాడన్న ఊహ భలే నచ్చింది.
>>చెరిగిన ముగ్గులా మిలిగిపోతాయి మిగితా జీవితాలు. చావుతో ఒక్క చావు కాదనుకో.
హ్మ్.. నిజమే.
>>అప్పుడు చావుకూడా, స్టేజి మీద నుండి ఓ కీలక పాత్రను తొలిగించడానికి దేవుడి స్క్రిప్ట్ లో ఉన్న inefficiently misplaced extra character గా మిగిలిపోతుంది.

ఆయన ఓవర్ రెటెడ్ కామెడి డైరెక్టర్ అవునో కాదో తెలీదు కానీ
ఆయన సినిమాలు చూసి నవ్వుకొవచ్చు ఇది నిజం

I have been longing to post one of my observation from a long time and finally got this opportunity. I am not sure if you got an opportunity to see the movie “Seetapati Samsaram” starring Chandramohan and Prabha. The story and screenplay is by Jandhyala. There are 3 tracks in this movie which are used in 3 different movies.
1. Hero and heroine get introduced, in a bus when bus conductor refuses to give change to Chandra mohan’s Rs 100 note and Prabha pays for it. To pay it off both of them first go to a coffee shop, then get into a auto et., and every time Chandra mohan fails to pay and Prabha keeps paying the money and debt increases. This was used in Akka pettanam chelleli kaapuram.
2. Chandramohan tries to make vankaya curry by listening to a radio station “Vantala Program” and then two stations jump on each other, where he finally ends up doing physical exercise for sometime and cooking for some other time. This track was used in two movies to my knowledge. (it could be more) once in Mr Pellam and the other movie Chilakkottudu – both by Rajendraprasad.
3.Hero and Heroine challenge each other that they can perform better in the other’s role. Exchange their roles and finally realise their mistake. – This is used in Mr Pellam.

And also the other incident reported in the comments section – Pottiprasad and Srilakshmi’s episode has been copied in some other – I am sorry i dont remember the name of the movie. AVS tried to do what Potti prasad did, but as Independent rightly pointed out he was no where near to him.

Please dont laugh at me and excuse me if this sounded very silly and there could be so many other inspirations. I do like Jandhyala movies, he puts me back in mood if i am very upset. And when i first got to see this movie, I felt that his thoughts are being re used and exploited in every possible way in today’s cinema.

I tried to write this in telugu, but the words were not getting converted rightly. (Boothulu raayatam ishtam leka, English ki shift ayyanu – kshaminchandi)
