Shadows is a poignant story of A.H.Suri, a Pakistani Muslim who started off humbly when he first arrived in the US. The new paradigm of judging a person on the basis of a stereotype profiling did affect Mr.Suri in some ways as a result of the aftermath of 9/11. Obviously, Mr.Suri dislikes being looked upon as a stranger by the very society, which he has been an integral part for more than 40 years.
