I am proud to talk to the daughter of our beloved greatest singer Shri Ghantasaala venkateswara rao. you are so luckey to be the daughter of Ghantasaala.
He is the lone singer the total world to remember for ever.His Bhagavadgeeta superb. No match in the world.He and his songs are “na bhooto na bhavishyathi” In fact I wonder are there any words in any language to describe or praise Ghantasaala. we are proud to be Telugu people and for living when Ghantasala lived.(samakaalikilu)

ఘంటసాల పాడిన ‘జనగణమన’ విన్నాను. ఈ పాట, ఆయన పాడిన ‘ఝండా ఊంచా రహే హమారా’, అలాగే మరికొన్ని దేశభక్తి గేయాలు, ఆగస్టు 15, జనవరి 26 వంటి సందర్భాల్లో స్కూళ్ళల్లో వినిపిస్తే ఎంత బాగుంటుంది. కాని ఆ రోజున కూడా, పిల్లలతో నిర్వహించే సాంస్కృతిక కార్యక్రమాల్లో ఈనాటి సినిమాల్లోని మాస్ పాటలకే డాన్స్ నేర్పించి వేయిస్తున్నారు.

మీరు ఆ “హాయిహాయిగా పాట” అమెరికాలో, అదీను, షికాగో concertలో పాడారని అనుకుంటుంటే నేను చెప్పగలిగిందేమీ లేదు. అలాగే 1971లోనే ఆయన కుమార్తె శ్యామలగారు *అమెరికాలో* ఆ మాటలు మాట్లాడారు అనుకుంటే కూడా.

ఆ పర్యటనలో జిక్కి ఆయనతో లేరు, ఆయన కుటుంబ సభ్యులు కూడా యెవరూ లేరు! 1971 నాటికి ఆ “హాయిహాయిగా” పాటని 1957లో (మొదటిగా సినిమలో) పాడినంత శక్తితో పాడగలిగే ఆరోగ్య పరిస్థితుల్లోను లేరు. ఆ రికార్డింగు ఆయన సమర్పించిన ఒక జనరంజని కార్యక్రమంలోనిది. శ్యామల-గారి గొంతుతో కలిపి “హే లోకప్రియ శ్యామలా” (టింగురంగా, 1952) అన్న పాట నూకల ప్రభాకర్ గారు (అక్కడ మీరు ఆయన గొంతు వినవచ్చు.) 2005-06 లో రికార్డ్/ఎడిట్ చేశారు. చివరిగా, ఆ “శ్రద్ధాంజలి” ఘంటసాల దివంగతులైన రోజు రేడియోలో ప్రసారమైన కార్యక్రమం.

సేషుగారు ! నవతరంగాన్ని నాకు పరిచయం చేసినందుకు కృతగ్యతలు . నాన్నగారి గురించి విశేషాలు చెప్పమని అడిగారు . మమ్మల్ని విశేషంగా ప్రభావితం చేసిన గొప్ప తండ్రి , స్ఫూర్తి ఆయన . ఎవరికైనా ఏదైనా ప్రత్యేకించి తెలుసుకోవాలన్న ఆసక్తి ఉంటే అడగండి , చెప్తాను .
