కన్ఫెషన్స్ ఆఫ్ ఎ ఫిల్మ్ మేకర్ సినిమా తర్వాత పూర్తి స్థాయి సినిమాగా ఆవకాయ బిర్యానిని అనీష్ తెరకెక్కించినా బాక్సాఫీసు వద్ద పెద్దగా సక్సెస్ సాధించలేదు. అయినప్పటికీ కొంతమంది ప్రేక్షకులకు ఈ సినిమా బాగానే నచ్చింది.
తొలి రెండు సినిమాలు విజయం సాధించకపోయినా వైవిధ్యమైన సినిమాలు తీయాలనే తపన అనీష్ లో కనిపిస్తుంది. కొత్త సంవత్సరంలో అనీష్ పకడ్బందీగా ప్లాన్ చేసుకుని ఒక విభిన్న చిత్రం రూపొందించాలని ఆశిస్తూ నవతరంగం తరపున నూతన సంవత్సర శుభాకాంక్షలు.
అనీష్ కురువిల్లా దర్శకత్వంలో వచ్చిన ఆవకాయ బిర్యానీ సినిమాలోనుంచి కొన్ని సీన్లు (కొన్ని సినిమాలో లేనివి) ఇక్కడ ప్రదర్శిస్తున్నాము. ఈ సినిమా గురించి అనిష్ కురువిల్లా చెప్పిన కొన్ని విశేషాలు ఇక్కడ చదవొచ్చు.

నాకు ఈ మాటలు నచ్చలేదు. నిజమే 5 వారాలు నడుస్తున్నది, బాగానే ఉంది. మరి రేపు కురువిల్లా తీసిన సినిమా రిలీజ్ అయింది అంటే ఈ 5 వారాలలో చూసిన వాళ్ళు ఎంతమంది రివ్యూలు చూడకుండా, టాక్ వినకుండా వెళ్ళగలరు? ప్రేక్షకుల నాడి తెలుసుకోకుండా సినిమా తీయడాన్ని వైఫల్యంగా ఒప్పుకోవాలి నిజమయిన దర్శకుడు.

ఆడలేక మద్దెల ఓడు అన్నట్టుగా ఉన్నాయి అనీష్ వ్యాఖ్యలు.సరిగ్గా ఉడకని వంటకాన్ని వడ్డించి, తినడం చేతగాదని నిందించినట్టుంది.కన్విన్సింగ్ గా చెబితే హీరో ముస్లిం అయినా హిందూ అయినా ప్రేక్షకులు పెద్దగా పట్టించుకోరు. సినిమా ఒక ఎమోషనల్ జర్నీ.కుదుపులు లేకుండా ప్రయాణాన్ని అందించడంలో విఫలం అయ్యానని అతను ఒప్పుకొనుంటే మర్యాదగా ఉండేది!

Yeah, I too read that post some time back.
And felt the same way as the above readers. If his movie is not able to impress the audience, he should have confessed his failure. Seems he is not willing to learn..
I read something like ” yeah, this is the movie I percieved and the output is exactly what I thought i would make”. (I dont remember exact words)
In my opinion, if a movie is not attracting people, it’s a failure!!
There was no problem with marketing for this movie as it had shekhar kammula’s name.
I feel really sorry for shekhar. He seems to be a very nice person. He believed his friend!!
