సుబ్రమణ్యపురం చిత్రంపై ఒక దళితధృక్కోణం ఈ క్రింది వ్యాసంలో….
The current psychological war against dalits in Indian cultural realm is fought by the brahmanical hegemony and ideology with inventions of newer psychological tools especially in cinema. It is evident in the texts of acclaimed tamil films which are celebrated as the depiction of village and real life outlets. These so called new generation tamil industrial cinema also revolves round the dichotomy of life/killing, elites/dalits, happiness/tears etc., and avoids the different complex political aspects of these two sided presentations. Killing of dalit identities and dalit bodies in the films like Veyil, Kadhal, Pruthiveeran, Subramaniapuram, Vennila KabadiKuzhu etc., are cunningly avoided in the intellectual discourses and are celebrated as refreshements in tamil film culture in the realm of presentation and text. These films are read as the depiction of reality of village and dalit life which were neglected by the Indian cinema seems to be paradoxical.

చిన్నప్పుడు ఆంధ్రప్రభ లో రివ్యూలు చదవాలంటే భయం వేసేది ఎందుకంటే కధ ముందేతెలిసిపోతుందని. ఉదాహరణకు సంజీవ్ కుమార్ నటించిన అనామిక. పిచ్చివాడిగా నటించిన సంజీవ్ ఇనస్పెక్టర్ అని మన కు ఇంటర్వ్ల ల్ ముందు తెలుస్తుందని రాశెశారు. ఇంక మనకు సస్పెన్స్ ఎందుకుంటుంది. అలానే మీరు “జై మరణించే సన్నివేశం, దాని ముందు నడిచిన డ్రామా చాలా బాగా తీశారు” అని మాకు సినిమాలో ని కీ పాయింట్ చెప్పేశారేమో అనిపిస్తోంది.

i think..
we have creative cream ..the problem may a rise finding a producer for movies like Sumbramanya puram..Our producers will not go for any realistic or x perimental..they go for out and Commericial movies..at this junction some people should come forword with their own production…i hope we can C da cahnge in the future ….

అరవ్వాళ్ళ సినిమాలు ఈ మధ్య అదిరిపోతున్నాయి. ఎప్పుడో శ్రీధర్, బాలచందర్ల కాలం నాటి మెచ్యూరిటీ మళ్ళీ ఇప్పుడు తమిళ సినిమాల్లో కనిపిస్తోంది. వెయిల్ ( వేసవి) అనే టైటిల్ తో వచ్చిన వసంత బాలన్ సినిమా భారీ వర్షం తో మొదలవడం చూసి ఆనందంతో తడిసి ముద్దయ్యాను. ఒంబత్తు రూబాయ్ నొట్టు ( తొమ్మిది రూపాయల నోటు), పెరియార్, ఓరం పో ( పక్కకు పో), పల్లి కూడం (పల్లెబడి),
మొళి ( భాష ),తమిళ్ ఎం.ఏ, సుబ్రఃమణ్యపురం లాంటి వెరయిటీ కధలు, కధనాలు తమిళ సినిమా కు తళుకులు అద్దుతున్నాయి. మనదేమో రాఘవేందర్రావు గారి బడి…టైంపాస్ కి చింతకాయలరవి తోనో, క్రిష్ణ తోనో, అష్టాచెమ్మాలు ఆడ్డానికి రెడీ అయిపోతున్నాం. మన టెలుగూస్ కి గమ్యం ఏదీ?

భాష సంగతి కాదు కానీ సినిమా అనే ప్రక్రియలోని మిగిలిన అంశాలైన ఎడిటింగ్, సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ తో పాటు ఆయా సినిమాల్లోని motifs, symbolism, theme లాంటి అంశాలను స్టడీ చెయ్యాలంటే మ్యూట్ చేయడం తప్పనిసరి.

చేతన గారు మరియు సౌమ్య గారు,ఇవ్వాళ ప్రపంచభాషల్లో వస్తున్న గొప్పసినిమాలలో చాలా వరకు మనకు తెలీని భాషల్లో వస్తున్నవేగా,నా మాటకొస్తే,చాలా తెలుగుస్ సినిమాలే సరిగ్గా అర్ధం కావు,కానీ మెక్సికన్,స్పానిష్,మొన్నీమధ్య జులు భాషలో వచ్చిన ‘yesterday’చూసా,ఏదో అలా చూడటం,ఇంటర్నెట్ లో సమాచారం చదూకోడం,చదివాక మళ్ళీ చూడ్డం ఇదన్నమాట నా పద్ధతి
