Kantri Ante NTR anI
ఈ పేరుని ఆంగ్లలో వ్రాసినప్పుడు KANTRI అని వస్తుంది. అందులో NTR అన్న మూడక్షరాలు కనబడడం హైలైట్. ఇదే ఈ సినీమనోరంజన శిఖరాఘ్రం. ఇంత కన్నా పెద్ద హైలైట్లు ఈ సినిమాలో లేవు. అంటే మీరు దారిలో వెళుతూ వెళుతూ ఎక్కడైనా పోస్టరు చూస్తే అందులో పేరు ఆంగ్లంలో ఉంటే, దాన్ని చూసి, సినిమా చూసినంత సంబర పడవచ్చు. మీ పని తేలిక చేయడానికి వారు NTR అన్నదాన్ని ఎఱ్ఱసిరాలో ఉంచారు. ఈ విషయంలో దర్శకుణ్ణి అభినందించాలి. కానీ దర్శకుడు కన్నడ అతను. కాబట్టి ఈ ఉపాయం దర్శక బృందంలో ఒక సభ్యునికి లేదా సభ్యురాలికి వచ్చి ఉండాలి. వారి ప్రతిభ బహుధా (లేదా కన్నడంలో బహళ అనాలేమో) అభినందనీయం. వారి పేరు పేర్లలో రాకపోవడం బహళ దుఃఖదాయకం. ఇలా సినిమాకల్లా పెద్ద హైలైట్ను చూపించడానికి డబ్బుతీసుకోకపోవడం ఇంకా బహుధా అభినందనీయం.
ఇక కథలోకి వెళ్ళమంటారా. హూఁ. సమీక్ష అన్నాక కథలోనికి వెళ్ళకపోతే ఏఁవ్ బాగుంటుంది చెప్పండి. కానీ ఒక్క మాట గుర్తుపెట్టుకోండి సినిమా యొక్క హైలైట్ గురించి ఇప్పటికే చెప్పేసుకున్నాము, తరువాయి కొంత బోరింగు అనిపించవచ్చు!
కథలో ఎంటీఆర్ తనగానే నటించాడు. అంటే NTR as self అన్నమట. ఇది మీకు సినిమా మొదట్లోనే చెబుతాడు. మా తాత సైకిల్ మీద వచ్చి ఏదేదో చేశాడని. ఆ తరువాత నేను ఇంతకు ముందు బండగా ఉండేవాడిని ఇప్పుడే ఎలాగోలా తగ్గాను అంటాడు కూడా. దానికి తోడు అతనిని కొందరు జూనియర్ అని సంబోధించడం కూడా చేస్తారు. అంటే ఇది ఎంటీయార్ జీవితంలో జరిగిన కొన్ని నిజమైన సంఘటనల మీద తీసిన అకల్పిత చలనచిత్రం (డాకుమెంటరి) అన్నమట. కానీ కొంత సేపైన తరువాత నా పేరు క్రాంతి అంటాడు. వీడేంటి ఇలా అమ్మాయి పేరు పెట్టుకున్నాడు అని మీరు నివ్వెర పోతారు. కానీ అతనికి ఇంకో అసలు పేరు వుందంట అది కంత్రి. అది తెలిసి మీరు ఊపిరి పీల్చుకుంటారు. ఎందుకంటే, KANTRI అనేది “Kantri Ante NTR anI” అనేదానికి క్లుప్తాక్షరమట! పేరు పెట్టిన దర్శకుడు పూర్వజనమలో రికర్సీవ్ కోడు వ్రాసి ఉద్యోగం కోల్పోయిన కంప్యూర్ ఇంజనీరు అయివుంటాడు. ఇంత గొప్ప పేరు పెట్టినందుకు అతనిని ఎంతైనా అభినందించాలి.
ఇక మన కథానాయకుడు యధావిధిగా, ఆడంబరముగాఁ బల్కుచూ అల్పులను ఇఱగ బాదుతూంటాడు. సినిమా మొదలైన నాలుగు నిమిషాలకే తెలుగు సినిమాల్లో ఉన్న విలన్లు అందర్ని చూపిస్తారు. నాకు వాళ్ళ పేర్లు సరిగా తెలియవు. ప్రకాశ్ రాజు, ఆశీస్ విద్యార్థి, పోకిరిలో పోలీస్ ఆఫీసర్ (తిన్నామా పడుకున్నామా అని అంటాడు అతను), బంగారం విలన్, సమరసింహారెడ్డి విలన్ ఇంకో ఇద్దరు ముగ్గురు విలన్లు ఉంటారు. వారికి తోడుగా మహేశ్ (నరసింహ నాయిడు విలన్), కోటా శ్రీనివాసరావు (చాలా సినిమాల్లో విలన్), ఆహుతీ ప్రసాద్ (చాలా సినిమాల్లో విలన్ సహాయకుడు) వంటి ఇంకో ఇద్దరు ముగ్గురు తెలుగు సినిమా విలన్లు మంచి వాళ్ళుగా పాత్రులు పోషించారు.
ఇక కామెడీ విషయంలో కూడా ఇదే జరిగింది, ఇందులో గిరిబాబు తనయుడు, సునీల్, ఆలీ, బ్రహ్మానందం, ధర్మవరపు, కృష్ణ భగవాన్, ఎమ్మస్ నారాయణ వంటి వారు ఉన్నారు. తారాగణం విషయంలో దర్శకుణ్ణు ఎంతో అభినందించాలి. తరువాతి తరాల వారికి మన తెలుగులో సినిమా విజ్ఞాన సర్వస్వం (ఎంసైక్లోపీడియా) లేదనే లోటు తీర్చాడు. ఈ సినిమా చూస్తే వారికి కావలసిన వారందరి జాబితా చిక్కుతుంది. కానీ కష్టమెక్కడ వస్తుందంటే, అందరూ ఒక నాలుగైదు ఫ్రేములకంటే ఎక్కువ కనిపించరు. కాబట్టి త్వరత్వరగా పేర్లు వ్రాసుకోవాలి.
ఇక హీరోయిన్,
ఇప్పటికే మీరు ఎప్పుడొస్తుందా హీరోయిన్ అని తెగ తహతహ పడుతున్నారుగా, నేనూ అంతే సినిమాలో హీరోయిన్ ఎప్పుడు వస్తుందా అని తెగ తహతహ పడ్డాను. మొదటి హీరోయిన్ వచ్చింది. పేరు హంసిక అంట.
అచ్చ తెలుగు అమ్మాయి కాని ఈ హంసిక, సినిమాలో కూడా అచ్చ తెలుగు అమ్మాయి కాకపోయినా, కనీసం అచ్చ తెలుగు పేరు కలిగిన అచ్చ తెలుగు సినిమా హీరోయిన్ కాబట్టి, ఆ విషయమై దర్శకుణ్ణి నిజంగా అభినందించాలి. పేరు వరలక్ష్మి అంట. అలా అని “లంగా ఓణి వేస్తుంది, బొట్టు పెట్టుకుంటుంది” అనుకుంటే పప్పులో కాలు వేసినట్టే. ప్రతి సగటు మధ్య తరగతి తెలుగు అమ్మాయి మల్లే ఈమే కూడా తన జుట్టుకి ఎఱ్ఱ రంగు వేయించుకుని వర్షంలో తడుస్తూ మనకు తొలి దర్శనమిస్తుంది.
మొదటి రెండు మూడు సీన్లలో ఈ అమ్మాయి చాలా అదృష్టవంతురాలు అని మనకు చూపించడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నప్పుడే మనకు అర్థమవ్వాలి, ఈ సినిమా యొక్క రొమాన్సు భాగం Just My Luck కి కాపీ అని (జల్సాలో Hitch లాగా). అప్పటికీ అర్థంకాని వారికి, చైనీసు కార్డులతో ఉన్న ఆలీని చూస్తే అర్థమవుతుంది. ఇది అర్థమవ్వబట్టి Just My Luck లో Lindsay Lohan, Chris Paine వాళ్ళు గుర్తుకు వచ్చి నాకు చాలా మనోరంజనం కలిగింది. కానీ మీరు JML చూడకపోతే మీకు అందులోని హాస్యశృంగారం బోధపడదు. ఆ సినిమా చూడకపోవడం మీ తప్పే అవుతుంది కానీ దర్శకుడిది కాదు. పైపెచ్చు JML లాంటి మంచి సినిమాలు చూడడాన్ని పెంపొందించే విషయంలో దర్శకుణ్ణి ఎంతో అభినందించాలి.
రొమాన్సు
చెప్పాగ Just My Luck కథ అని. ఇక పోతే మన ప్రజా హీరో NTR కి కూడా మనలానే ఇది సినిమానో లేక డాకుమెంటరీనో అర్థం కాక, హీరోయిన్ని పదే పదే తన అసలు పేరు హంసతో పిలుస్తుంటాడు. మనకి ఆమె వరలక్ష్మో హంసో అర్థంగాదు. అలా అతను తికమక పడడాన్ని దర్శకుడు చాలా బాగా చిత్రీకరించాడు. ఈ విషయంలో దర్శకుణ్ణి ఎంతో అభినందించాలి.
కథనం
ఈ సినిమా చూస్తున్నంత సేపు మీరు చాలా తికమకకు లోనౌతారనుకుంటే మీరు పొరబాటు పడ్డట్టే. మనలాంటి సగటు ప్రేక్షకులు బాగా అర్థమవ్వాలని చెప్పి సంభాషణలు వ్రాసినప్పుడు, మనకు వివరించడానికి,
“ఈ సినిమాలో ఫైట్లు ఎక్కువుంటాయి, వయలెన్సు ఎక్కువుంటుంది”, “ఇప్పటి వరకూ ట్రయిలర్ చూసారు ఇప్పుడు అసలు సినిమా మొదలవుతుంది”, “ఈ సినిమాలో ఇద్దరు హీరోయిన్లు”, “ఒక హీరోయిన్ వెళ్ళిపోయింది కాబట్టి ఇక సినిమా సింగిల్ హీరోయిన్ సినిమా” అంటూ వివరణలు ఇస్తూంటారు.
“ఈ థియేటర్ లో నా సినిమా అడుతుంది” అని వివరించిన కంత్రిని చూసి మీరు అతనికి ఇప్పుడు కూడా ఇది సినిమానా లేదా నిజ జీవితమా అని తికమక పడుతున్నాడు అని భావిస్తే పప్పులో కాలేసినట్టే. అది సినిమాని చూడడానికి వచ్చిన మతిభ్రమించిన వారికోసం వివరణ. (మతిభ్రమిస్తేనేగా ఇలాంటి సినిమాలు చూసేది అని మీరనుకుంటే అది కూడా జీడి పప్పు కూరలో కాలేసినట్టే అవుతుంది). ఇలా వికలాంగులను వికలబుద్ధులను (మాత్రమే) దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని సినిమా తీసిన విషయంలో దర్శకుణ్ణి ఎంతో అభినందించాలి.
మూస – మెలిక
పోకిరి సినిమా ఎందుకు హిట్టయిందో తెలియదు గానీ, ఈ సినిమాని కూడా అదే తీరులో తీసారు మన దర్శకులు. ఈ సినిమాలో రెండు పోకిరిలు ఉన్నాయి. మొదటి సగం ఒక పోకిరి, రెండో సగం ఇంకో పోకిరి. మీరు పోకిరి సినిమా చూడకపోయినచో (అంటే మీ నివాసం అంటార్కుటికా అయినచో), ఈ సినిమా చూసి ఆ పాపాన్ని కడిగేసుకోవచ్చు. ఈ సినిమా చూస్తే రెండు పోకిరిలు చూసినట్టు లెక్క. మొదటి సగం చివరిలో కథలో మెలిక ఉంటుంది, మన కంత్రి ప్రకాశ రాజు కొడుకు అని, అప్పుడు మీ మతి భ్రమిస్తుంది. అలా మిమ్మల్ని భ్రమింపజేసి రెండో సగం గడిపించాక, రెండో సగం చివరిలో ఆ మెలికను తిన్నం చేస్తాడు మన దర్శకుడు.
దీనితో మనకు Every twist has an equal and opposite twist అని తెలుస్తుంది. ఇలా ఇంటర్ పిల్లలకు భౌతికశాస్త్రాన్ని నేర్పూతూ అదే సమయంలో, చెత్త చెత్త ట్విస్టులతో సినిమాలు తీసే పూరీ జగన్నాథం వంటి దర్శకులను తన తిన్నాలోతో(untwistలతో) ఖండించిన దర్శకుణ్ణి ఎంతైనా అభినందించాలి.
రెండో హీరోయిన్
ఈ సినిమా పోస్టరులో ఇద్దరు హీరోయిన్లు ఉన్నారు. ఒకమ్మాయికి ఎఱ్ఱజుట్టు వుంటుంది. ఇకొంక అమ్మాయకి ఎఱ్ఱవళ్ళు వుంటుంది, ఈ రెండో అమ్మాయి ఇంకా రాలేదేంటి అని అనుకుంటున్నారా? నేను కూడా అదే అనుకున్నా సినిమా చివరి వరకూ. కానీ ఈ అమ్మాయి మధ్యలో వచ్చి వెళ్ళిపోయిందంట. ఏం చేసిందో కూడా నాకు గుర్తులేదు. ఆ చేసిన హీరోయిన్కి తెలుగు రాదు కాబట్టి ఆమెకీ తెలియదు. ఇక సినిమా తీసిన కన్నడ దర్శకునికి కూడా ఆమె ఎందుకు ఉందో అస్సులు తెలియదు. కానీ నిర్మాతకు తెలుసు స్తనభేదము దాయని ఎఱ్ఱవళ్ళు అమ్మాయి ఎందుకు వుందో. ఈ ఒక్క విషయంలో మాత్రం మనం నిర్మాతను ఎంతైనా అభినందించాలి.
ఇంకెన్నో
దీనితోఁబాటు ఈ సినిమాలో అభినందించ దగ్గ విషయాలు ఇంకెన్నో వున్నాయి. మచ్చుకకు ‘చిన్న పిల్లల చేత తుపాకులు పేల్పించడం’, ‘అనాథ శరణాలయాన్ని నాటకంగా చూపించడం’ వంటివి. పాటల విషయమై, సినిమా నాణ్యతకూ పాటలలోని నృత్యాలు పాటల చిత్రీకరణ వంటి వాటి నాణ్యతకూ ఎటువంటి పొంతనా లేదు కాబట్టి వాటిని నేను ప్రస్తావించదలచుకోలేదు.
అందరూ తప్పక చూడవలసిన పోస్టరు ఈ సినిమాది. కాబట్టి మీరు వెంటనే బయటకు వెళ్ళి ఈ పోస్టరు చూసిరండి.

బావుంది వ్యంగ్య సమీక్ష, చివరి సలహా అయితే మరీ మరీ నచ్చింది..
సినీసమీక్ష ఇలాక్కూడా రాయొచ్చని తెలియజెప్పిన రాకేశ్ కు మంగిణీలు.మీకు ఇంత స్ఫూర్తి (inspiration) ని కల్పించిన పాపానికి ఈ సినిమా పోస్టర్ ను పలుసార్లు,సినిమాను కూడా ఒకసారి ఖచ్చితంగా చూడాలి.
పోయిన వారం ఈ సినిమా స్పీల్ బర్గ్ తీసిన “క్యాచ్ మీ ఇఫ్ యు కెన్” కు కాపీ అని ఒక వార్తచదివా. ఆ వార్త స్రృషించిన వాడికున్న సృజనాత్మక ఈ సినిమా దర్శకుడికి ఉండి ఉంటే, కనీసం కొంత కథ ఉండేదేమో!!!

మధ్యమధ్యలో ఏమి జరుగుతుందో సినిమాలోనే చూపంచడం, నిజంగా హైలైట్!.. ఈ సంప్రదాయాన్ని మిగతా సినిమాలన్నీ కూడా ముందుకు తీసుకువెళతాయని ఆశిస్తున్నాను అధ్యక్షా!!!

Very good ee sameeksha chadivaaka navvaakunda vundaleka poyaanu. Nijangaa.. ottu..ippati varaku sameekha ante sapport chestoo raasinave choosaanu. nijame cinimalo peru mosina natulu chaala mandi vunnaaru. aite cheppukodagga katha maatram ledu. mottaniki kalagoora gampa lanti cinima id.
This review is too much biased and doesn’t talk much about the movie’s highlights and sidelights. instead the author focused much on showing his so called sense of humour. I feel this review is unfit for posting in Navatarangam. Better to post these kind of reviews in their own blogs.

మాకు (ఇంకా బోల్డు మందికి) డబ్బులు,మనశ్శాంతి, ఆరోగ్యం మిగిల్చినందుకు నెనర్లు.

TELUGU lo raayaledu kshaminchandi.
I think, you should know some basics(atleast about the cast and crew members and their brief history atleast) before writing so called reviews. First of all, Meher Ramesh is not a Kannadiga, he is pure andhrawala.(you can see today’s telugu news papers for his interview, where he mentioned he is a cousin of Chiranjeevi). NTR calls the heroine as HAMSA only because she looks very beautiful like Hamsa,its a nickname.(if you would have listen to the dialogues properly, you could have identified it)
Cinema story paranga i think its ok, for a typical telugu mass masala film. Only thing that didn’t work well is slow narration and less comedy. I guess, the director is inspired by the bollywood’s BLUFFMASTER movie, while writing the ScreenPlay. Had the director taken more interest in first half and also by inserting some funny scenes then it would have been a good mass entertainer.
Note: No one expects a Class Movie from a mass hero like NTR. Folks expect only Mass Entertainers,where the hero should be highlighted. Thats a different section of audience, who will come to the movie repeatedly,if they like it. A perfect reviewer should keep all sections of people in mind while writing the review, becuase it could be read by anyone on the NET, right.(Please don’t suggest me to write a review, i think i am not yet a perfect reviewer, even though i am reviewing movies from last 7 years).
Last but not least, Don’t try to compare our Telugu Films with Hollywood and Bollywood films. They are heavy budget films, we need to wait some more time to reach their standards. Try to see a movie in neutral way,if you want to become a good reviewer. ALL THE BEST.

As per as the story concerns, Bollywood and Hollywood films are as bad as Telugu films. Telugu cinema helps to gain power to starts on common people; it needs fans, politics, and money. Bollywood about metro sexual life styles and to bring western shitty life styles into India and it does not have a culture and soul, it is a bastard. Hollywood not about people around us, it is about machines and imaginary problems out of excess wealth. In wealthy consumer society the human values are just things to trade, so you can expect such films from them.
You have to notice that budget of the movie is not a parameter for making a good film or bad film. The story and the actors acting skills in that story and film language are important factors. We have actors who can shout loudly as if viewers and everybody is dumb, who can act like a bastard. We have actors who can think he is the best and try to project that way, some are like to project like his father and brother whatever the shit they had in the past. We have actors whose aim is to grab some money or power, there is nothing you can happy about our present Telugu film industry. The stories are already outdated for present day problems, do you think the problems addressed in films like Kantri, Jalsa, Pokiri, Okkamagadu, etc. are relevant?
Kantri , Jalsa , Pokiri etc …. are right from their side , since they haven’t been made to address neither our social problems nor their solutions…. and they have succeeded in doing that…. they are pakka time pass movies…
People come to theatres for recreation to forget their problems and not to watch the problems again on the screen…. No …Not everyone is looking whether any serious social issue has been dealt in the movie..
In an interview, when a person asked Raja mouli y he is not making any ‘message’ oriented movies … he replied “If i want to give message to any one … rather i can mail it …. y to show it on the screen”….
So, we can encourage just ‘entertainment’ oriented movies too as long as they are atleast bearable to watch
yes, ‘they are pakka time pass movies’ for sake of hero existence, and fans and cinema is more than this..they are limited to this shitty contents and heros.

yes we can encourage commercial movies and they need not deal with any issue and certainly need not deliver a message.But as you said we can encourage them as long as they are bearable.

No , I didn’t mean kantri and jalsa were bearable. I too believe they are mere trash. What i was trying to emphasize is not to expect too much out of every movie. First , we should understand atleast the director’s intention behind making of that movie.
Of course , all are copy cats , even the so called ‘cinema’ (motion picture) was not invented by us …

The same is the case here …. we can analyse the movie based on its content, presentation, technical aspects etc etc….. but what abt a group of villagers sitting together and discussing about movies. A common cine goer will analyse movies based on songs, fights, dances etc….
Do u believe how many movie goers in andhra can define the term ’screenplay’ correctly ???
How many in andhra know about satyajit ray ???

common audience కి, illiterate villager కి కథా కథనం అవసరం లేని చెత్తాచెదారం చాలు అనటం వాళ్ళని, వాళ్ళ తెలివితేటల్ని (common audinece లొ భాగమైన మనల్ని మన తెలివితేటల్ని కూడా) అవమానపరుస్తున్నట్టేనేమో.. screenplay అనేది technological aspect కాదు, చదువుకోనివారికి అర్థం కాకపోవడానికి.. film language తెలిసినవారికి మాత్రమే అర్థం కావడానికి. చెప్పాలనుకున్న విషయాన్ని ఎలా చెప్తున్నాం అనే విషయం మాత్రమే. ఆ screenplay బాగుండటం అనేది మనకి (includes మీరంటున్న common audience, illiterates, villagers) తెలియకపోతే మన నాటకాలు, కథలు, ఇంకా సమస్తవిధాలైన కథ చెప్పే విధానాలు ఎలా popular అయ్యాయి అంటారు? ఆ మాటకు వస్తే మన పాత సినిమాలు ఎందుకు హిట్ అయ్యేయి అంటారు? అవి మాత్రం వినోదాన్ని పంచలేదంటారా? వాటిలో message, issue based ఎన్ని? పాత సినిమాలనే కాదు, మంచి సినిమా ఎదైనా. ఇలా మన తెలివితేటల్ని, మన cinema expectationsని మనమే కించపరుచుకునీ, “వీళ్ళకి ఈ cinema చాల్లే, ఇంతకన్నా ఎక్కువ చూపిస్తే వీళ్ళకి అర్థం కాదు” అని cinemaవాళ్ళు కించపర్చే అవకాసం మనమే ఇస్తున్నాం. చెత్త సినిమాలు హిట్ చేసి, ఈ రేంజి మాకు, మా entertainemnt కి చాలు అనేకొద్దీ, మనకి అంతకంటే చెత్త సినిమాలు వస్తున్నాయి. మంచి cinema అంటే సత్యజిత్రే cinema మాత్రమే అయ్యుండక్కర్లేదు. serious issues discuss చేసే సినిమా అయ్యుండక్కర్లేదు. commercial cinema కానిది అయ్యుండక్కర్లేదు. entertainment లేనిది అయ్యుండక్కర్లేదు.

మంచి సినిమాలు రాకపోవటానికి పూర్తిగా నిర్మాతలని / దర్శకులని తప్పు పట్టలేము, వాటిని సరిగా ఆదరించని ప్రేక్షకుల ప్రాత్ర కూడా చాలా ఉంది.
ఒక నిర్మాత point of view లో చూస్తే, ఎవరైనా తెగించి ఒక ఉత్తమాభిరుచి ఉన్న సినిమా తీస్తే అవి అవార్డ్స్ కి లేక ఫిల్మ ఫెస్టివల్స్ కీ పరిమితం అవుతున్నాయి కాని వాటిని ప్రేక్షకులు చూసీ ఆదరించడం లేదు, కనీసం production cost కూడా రాని అటువంటి సినిమా తిసేబదులు, అదే నిర్మాత తన తరువాత మూవీ పూర్తిగా మాస్ మసాలా ఫార్ములాతో (ఒక హిరో, ఒక హిరోయిన్ cum వ్యాంప్, ఒక విలన్ మరియు చివరిలో ఒక పనికిమాలిన twist) వస్తే అది 1st week 10Crores, 2nd week 20crores, 50 days 40crores తో మనమే హిట్ చేస్తున్నాం.
సినిమా వచ్చిన తరువాత చూసి సమీక్షలు రాసే మనం, అసలు మంచి సినిమా అంటే ఏంటి? ఎటువంటి సినిమాలు రావలి అనేది Discuss చేస్తే, అది చదివిన వారు కనీసం ఒక్క మంచి సినిమా తీసినా మన ప్రయత్నం ఫలిస్తుంది.

First and foremost .. I agree that the reviewer has a right to express his opinions, however critical, hypocritical and ‘holier than thou’ it may be. The same way, in an open forum, people who read the review also have a right to comment the way they want to.
OK, now my turn.
When you went to Kantri (or Jalsa or Pokiri)… what did you expect? Were you so impressed by the title to expect some thing unique and close to real life? Did you go thinking that the lead actor and director have a history of making the films you liked? Do you think if there a remote possibility that the problem is with your expectations? If you expect true artistic values from a commercial movie … god help you my friend. Its not going to happen … its not going to happen any where in the world.
Anyway, but I did like your review though .. it is really amusing.
