Ikiru… is just an amazing movie… I was just about to write on it..when I saw ur post Well….I liked the concept…and each and every part of the movie….though it was slow at times…it was certainly gripping. The protagonist…his expressions… I don’t know if he acted or lived that role! Every bit of it appeared so real for me.. conceptually….if not picturisation wise…as I am not aware of Japanese traditions much. Good post.

Few years ago i watched this movie in Detroit with film club member friends
your review took me back to that horrrible,snow,windy and chilly day with the temparature dropped to zero degrees.
it was definetly worth the trouble.
